Kakdwip Primary Teachers’ Training Institute is established with a motto for advancement learning by conducting Primary Teachers' Training Course for the students of vast Sundarban area of South 24 Parganas. Teachers Training centers are very dearth in our State. In this context the establishment of teachers training college has become urgently needed in the interest of furtherance of education among the students of this locality. With the a motto of this advancement of qualitative improvement of teachers education among the students, this institution has been set up and accorded recognition from NCTE and affiliation from the WBBPE from the session 2008-09. The college functioning in an ideal an peaceful atmosphere. The main aim and object of this institution is to arrange man-making education and to create a lively learning atmosphere in the circumference of the institution.

The college is established with a motto for the development of teacher education programme for the students of vast Sundarban area of South 24 Parganas, since the teacher training college are very dearth in the State of West Bengal. The college got NCTE Recognation and affiliation from WBBPE from the session 2008-09 for opining of D.EL.Ed, (Primary) Course with method subjects of English, History, Bengali, Geography, Education, Evs, Work- Education, Science, Mathematics, Physical Education, Art & Craft, Music. The college has all sorts of infrastructure and instructional facilities as stipulated by NCTE. Laboratories for different subjects are well equipped. The Library holdings are augmented with addition of books and journals every years. The students teachers' relation is maintained in healthy atmosphere of the college. The students teachers' take -up there internship programme comfortably in social atmosphere. Games and sports, seminar, study tour, cultural activities, publication of college magazine, observation of national festivals and various competitions are held to promote intellectual and creative talents of the students.
